However, I'd like to counter that claim with the fact that as we age, we become more discriminate thinkers, and we learn some things faster about people than when we are younger and have less experience. For example, when I was young, a person's political persuasion did not bother me all that much. Now, however, I am careful to avoid people who have extreme positions one way or another on issues. But the joys of senior dating are also many. Sharing a life full of rich experiences and life knowledge with someone new can be a completely energizing experience, and opening myself up to new activities and experiences is certainly worth the hassle of weeding out unlikely candidates.
