Matchmaking Service Commercials are Often Silly |

I cannot help but laugh at some of the matchmaking service commercials I have seen on television. I’m amused by the fact that these matchmaking service commercials assume that their entire audience is single. One particular matchmaking service commercial asks viewers if they aren’t curious to see who matches with them. Personally I’m happily married and not at all curious to see which individuals an automated service thinks would make a good date for me. Another matchmaking service commercial tells viewers that it’s ok to look. Well actually it isn’t always ok to look. If I caught my husband looking at his matches on a matchmaking service I would most likely serve him with divorce papers. Although I think many of these commercials are just plain silly, that doesn’t mean I would be unwilling to use a matchmaking service if I were single. I’m at the stage in life where I couldn’t be bothered going out on the hunt for a new boyfriend. If I were to get dressed up and stand around in a club in the endeavor to get noticed by the opposite sex, I would only look like mutton dressed as lamb when some stunning eighteen year old girl stood next to me. If I were looking for a date I would far rather use a matchmaking service to find available men from my age group and spend my spare time getting on with other aspects of my life.
